May Counterfeit Kit

Hello! It's time to show you my Counterfeit Kit for the month of May! This month's inspiration is this kit from Polly Scrap Kits pictured below...

The first thing that inspired me was that this was a great kit for boys... so I thought I would look through my boy themed papers first. I also kinda went with the colors too a little bit... there was a dark neutral, a light neutral, and two other single color patterned papers with a pop of color...

So I pulled together these papers from Echo Park. It's a mix of papers from Scoot, All About a Boy, and A Boys Life. All very boy-themed paper. I started with the navy and the white paper, pulled the red and yellow, and then I grabbed a few more coordinated papers... 4 papers in a mini kit just wasn't enough for me - especially since I rarely use cardstock. I might use some white or kraft cardstock with this kit this month though, just to make it stretch a little more!

So then I pulled in some embellishments... a cut apart page with journaling cards and a sticker sheet from Echo Park, but also a sticker sheet from Bo Bunny with flourishes and alphas, and a die cut sheet from Fancy Pants.

Then I added in a few pieces of chipboard, a couple pieces of flair (left over from Christmas from JC Penney that aren't Christmas themed), some stamps, ribbon, twine, rub-ons...

And of course, no kit is complete without washi tape!

I hope you enjoyed checking out my kit, and if you're so inspired, join in at Counterfeit Kit Challenge!
