It's not very often I do a page about myself, or use pink! Or even use flowers or bling anymore! This layout definitely took me out of my normal comfort zone, but I absolutely love how it turned out! I started by pulling a few pink papers that I had from Echo Park (and believe me, there is very little pink in my stash!). I really liked the butterfly paper, so I pulled the aqua and yellow papers to compliment the pink. Then, not knowing what direction I wanted to go, I pulled a few pictures of myself that I already had printed. Then I remembered a quote I saw on facebook that I really wanted to scrap... "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have." And everything else came together...
I made this layout for the following challenges:
2 Broke Girls Sketch Challenge using this sketch:

  1. Just dropping by from Shimelle's... I really love this layout. Your colors and papers are spot on and I am definitely putting the quote on my board! Great job!

  2. This layout is lovely. I love all the patterned papers that you used. And the quote is amazing. I am a new follower and would love for you to come and check out my blog (also a lot of scrapbooking).

  3. What a great layout! I clicked over from the Memory Nest and am now a new follower.

  4. Hi Jen. Thank you for linking up this beautiful page. Love your use of the sketch. As always, I love seeing what you create.
