The Kitchen Keepsake forum just hosted a "Will Work for Scraps" challenge... you agree to the challenge without knowing what it is, and work with whatever you receive in the mail. For this challenge, I received a plain black frame with the word Family on top.
The first thing I did was paint the frame white. I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go with this frame, so I covered the word Family on top with washi tape and used my craft knife to trim around the edges. Washi tape actually cuts quite nicely with a craft knife, by the way! I then dug through my embellishments and ended up with the banner and dinosaurs from Little Yellow Bicycle.
